Hey everyone! Firstly Happy New Year! It's 2012 already can you believe it! Its been an awesome 4 days moving into the new year and i decided to be a lil more domestic :)
Have been trying out recipes and stuff since last year and if i might say so myself, its been a pretty exciting experience for me. Decided that this year im going to start cooking and eating healthier. So was looking for recipe's online and stumbled upon this one for cajun Shrimp!
Have always loved cajun styled cooking and was happy to find a really good one from
http://www.foodnetwork.com/. A pretty awesome recipe and it turned out absolutely de-freakin-licious! So i thought i'd share it here with all of you.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails intact
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Directions
Heat the butter, olive oil and garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the Cajun seasoning and shrimp and cook, stirring, until the shrimp begin to curl, about 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in the parsley and serve with lemon, if desired.Hope you enjoy this!
